19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial title for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a challenging period, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in particular - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's initial title since the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and regular emotional displays on court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to play at the top level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an better serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.
The pair exchanged break points in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent defended 4 initial opportunities in a close deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner earned the win with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
