In a surprising partnership that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who finish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also introduces the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
